Hospitality as a brand language

Receiving is not courtesy. It is an operational part of the brand that cannot be outsourced.

By Marcus Yabe · 2026

From individual talent to protocol

Hospitality becomes a brand language when welcome is written, repeatable and observable. Who greets a visitor, what is offered first, what is remembered and how an encounter ends are design decisions.

Beyond hotels

Hotels and restaurants formalised the craft, but the grammar transfers to showrooms, clinics, professional offices and industrial visits: arrival, initial offering, memory and departure.

Measure return, not declared delight

The practical evidence is recurrence. The relevant indicators are the interval between the first and second visit, the ticket of returning clients and traceable referrals, rather than a generic claim of satisfaction.
